Club Nomad’s Kids Scuba Camp started with a daily marine awareness presentation. This is where kids learned about corals, marine animals, marine debris and the importance to protect and conserve them. Next up, was the PADI Seal Team Aquamission’s briefing, which everyone eagerly waited for! The young divers get suited up with kid’s size wetsuit and gear, and the fun session begun! They had their first breath underwater, learning skills such as regulator clearing, mask clearing and buoyancy control, which are all part of PADI Seal Team program that introduces kids to the wonder of breathing and moving underwater. To add to the excitement, we had incorporated various underwater games each day that took the camp to a new level of fun!
What the kids said ~
The kids really enjoyed the session and even journaled their exciting experiences in their dive logs:
I enjoy the game most”, Jayden
“I want to come back and dive”, Ellsa
“Diving down into the deep end of the pool, it was really exciting”, Andy
Each day the kids program ends with a STEAM activity session with OPSTOPUS. OPSTOPUS believes in “To learn is to play”, and they have specially curated various ocean theme activities where kids learnt about ocean currents, ocean layers and many more ~
All 9 of them are now certified as PADI Seal Team members. We look forward to see them in the PADI Junior Scuba Diver and PADI Junior Open Water course soon!
